The Shoe Box Program >>>>>>>>

The shoebox program has begun at the Voice Of The Gospel Mission Church. The Church goal this year is to fill twenty shoeboxes with goodies, that the church will
donate to Samaritan Purse, who will distribute them to boys and girls around the world who otherwise would not have anything for Christmas.
The shoebox program is about more than a gift, it is about sharing Jesus, and His love, mercy, and tender care for His Fathers children Regardless of where they may live in the world (Matt.19:13-14).

As Christians, God has made each of us stewards and overseers over His earthly children. James, the brother of Jesus said pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world
James 1:27).

Won’t you help God touch the hearts of His children by donating for a worthy cause? Jesus said since you provided a gift to one of the least of
These My children, you did it to Me (Matt.31-40).

If you would like to participate in the shoebox program you may do so by sending a donation in any amount to:
The Voice of the Gospel Mission Church
27 Fairfax Ave
Middletown NY 10940

Please make check payable to The Voice Of The Gospel Mission Church,
and write “shoebox Donation” on your check,
And may God bless you for your generosity (Mal.3:10).

Giving God thanks>>>>>>>>

Give God thanks for everyday He gives His people.
On Thanksgiving, families gather around the table and thank God for the things which they are thankful for the most. Some members of the family thanked God because he woke them up this morning, while other family members thanked God for the family gathering and the food which they were about to eat.

As Christians, we always want to give God thanks and with this in mind here is a list of some spiritual things we can give God thanks.

1) Thank God because our names are written in heaven
    (Lk.10:20).
2) Thank God for His written word, the Bible, so we
can learn about Him and live according to His word
    (Lk.4:4).
3) Thank the Lord that we serve a God who cannot lie
And everything He says to us is of the truth
    (Heb.6:13-20).
4) Thank the Lord because He is a faithful God who
keeps all His Promises (Heb.10:21-23), (Heb.11:11).
5) Thank the Lord because He is a forgiving God
    (1-Jn.1:9).
6) Thank the Lord because He is a gracious God,
merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness
    (Joel.2:13).
7) Thank the Lord because He is a compassionate God
    (Psalm.86:15).
8) Thank the Lord because it is not His will that any
Should perish but that all should come to
    Repentance (2-Pet.3:9).
9) Thank the Lord because He called us out of darkness
And into His marvelis light (Col.1:12-15).
10) Thank the Lord because His ears are attentive to
      our prayers (1-Peter 3:12).

Enter by the narrow gate (Matt.7:13-29).

Which gate have you chosen.
(V-13) In Jesus’ famous sermon on the mount He spoke to the multitudes about two gates, one gate was narrow, and the other gate was wide. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many go in by it. (V-14) Jesus goes on to say to the people who were listing, Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. After God had raised Jesus from the dead Jesus said to His Disciples, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned (Mark 16:15-16).
Jesus uses the two gate as a metaphor, the wide gate represents hell, and anyone’s name not found written in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire burning with brimstone (Rev.20:11-15). In the book of Luke, Jesus paints a picture of hell and what it will look like and feel like, to those who were Condemned.

Jesus draws a picture of two men, one was rich, and the other man was poor. Jesus goes on to say that the beggar died and was carried to heaven by the angels.
The rich man also died and was buried (Lk.16:22).
Jesus continues His story saying even though the rich man had died he was still experiencing his physical senses. The rich man saw Lazarus as he moved about in heaven, and being in tormented he felt physical pain even though he was in the grave. The rich man although dead was aware that he was in hell because the flames were tormenting him. (Lk.16:23-24).
Jesus said, although the rich man died he remembered his father’s house and his five brothers who also live there in the dwelling (Lk.16:25-26).

The rich man who had died in the flesh awoke in hell
and seeing Abraham in heaven, cried out to him and begging him to send someone to his father's house fore he does not want his brothers to come to this place of torment (Lk.16:27-28). Jesus looking at His Disciples said, even if the dead man’s brothers see miracles, or if one goes to them from the dead, they will not repent (Lk.16:29-31). Jesus said for if you believed Moses, you would believe Me ; for he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words (Jn.5:46-47).
Jesus cried in a loud voice saying, whoever believes in Me shall never die but have eternal life that where I am they may also be. Then Jesus turned to His Disciples with tears in His eyes said, Do not be like the five foolish virgins who have not yet accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, but waited until The bridegroom came, and the door to salvation shut. Jesus said watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of man is coming (Matt.25:1-13).

In the book of Hebrews, the author writes, how shall we escape so great a salvation, which at first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him (Heb.2:3).The apostle Paul said for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes (Rom.1:16). The apostle Paul writes, to you the word of this salvation has been sent (Acts 13:26).
Paul writes, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation  (Rom.10:9,10,13). Jesus said, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel (Mark 1:15). Don’t be like the five foolish virgins who waited until the bridegroom (Jesus) came, shut the door, and found themselves not able to get into heaven. Or, don’t be like the rich man who died in the flesh and woke up in hell. Today is the acceptable time to repent and believe the gospel.

The word of God<<<<<<<<<

God’s word is supposed to accomplish three things:
1) Make sinners aware of God’s presence.
2) Convict the heart of sinners.
3) Teach sinners how to live for God.

In the Bible, God tells us a true story about a sinner named Saul. God continues His story by telling us
How the word of God touched the heart of this man. The Lord’s story begins in (Acts 6:1-15), if you wish to turn to this chapter in your Bible, I’ll wait for you while you find your place. The story begins with Stephen. In (Acts 6:5) we are told that Stephen was full of faith and the Holy Spirit. In (Acts 6:8) the text tells us that Stephen was also full of power, and did great wonders and signs among the people. In (Acts 6:9) the author tells us that Stephen spoke the word of God to some people from what is called the Synagogue of Freedmen, and as Stephen spoke the word to them, they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spoke. In (Acts 6:11-15) we learned that since those from Cilicia, and Asia, could not dispute the words spoken by Stephen, they secretly paid men to lie about him saying they heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God.

In (Acts 7:1-50) Stephen speaks to the high priest telling him about Abraham, our forefather, and also
Moses who led God’s people out of Egypt. In (Acts 7:51-57) Stephen said to the high priest and those who were listening said, you stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist’s the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you. (V-52) Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who foretold the coming of the Just One, of whom you now have become the betrayers and murders. (V-53) Who have received the law by the direction of angels and have not kept it. (V-54) When they heard these things they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at them with their teeth. (V-55) Stephen full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. (V-56) Stephen said Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God! In (Acts 7:57-58) those who were listing to Stephen as he spoke about their forefathers, were enraged because of the words which he had spoken.

In (Acts 7:59-60) The texts tells us that the people stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. (V-60) Then Stephen cried out with a loud voice, Lord do not charge them with this sin. And when he had said that Stephen died from his injuries.
It is important to note that Stephen did not die and leave this earth with hatred in his heart.
In (Acts 7:60) While dying Stephen prayed to God, asking Him not to charge his killers with this sin.

In (Matthew 6:14-15) Jesus made it very clear to His followers that they are to forgive men of their trespasses, Jesus also said but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. The Bible makes it very clear, don’t die with hatred in your heart, Why? The apostle Paul said to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2-Cor.5:8).
Death is not the end of life but the beginning.
In (Acts 8:1,3) Saul was consenting to Stephens death, and he made havoc of the Church, even entering homes and dragging off men and woman, committing them to prison, and some killing. In (Acts 9:1-4) we learned as Saul journeyed on the road to Damascus, suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Saul fell to the ground, and he heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?
Notice in (V-4) Jesus did not say to Saul, why are you persecuting my people, but rather, why are you persecuting Me. In (Matthew 25:40) Jesus said if you sin against one of My brothers or sisters you sin against Me. (Please Note) When we fight, argue, cheat, and hurt one another, we are also fighting arguing cheating, and hurting Jesus.

In (Acts 9:5-9) Jesus’ words were at work convicting Saul of his sin. God’s word is suppose to convict men and woman and make them examine their hearts. I believe today’s Pastors no longer preach convicting sermons but remember this, no conviction No repentance, maybe this is why the Churches are empty at record numbers. In (Acts 9:6) So Saul, trembling said to Jesus, Lord what do you want me to do, Jesus said, Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.
Notice In (Acts 9:10-12) God speaks to a Disciple named Ananias in a vision, saying, go to the street called Straight and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying. God also speaks to Saul in a vision saying, a preacher named Ananias will put his hands on you so that you might receive your sight.
In (Acts 9:13-14) the text us tells that Ananias questioned Saul’s conversion because of the cruelty he did to Christians in the past. Question! Is your past keeping you from repenting? if so, remember the word’s Jesus spoke to the multitudes saying, do not love the world or the things in the world, for the world, is passing away, but those who do the will of God abides forever (1-Jn.2:15-17).

In (Acts 9:15-16) Ananias refused, but Jesus said, go for Saul is a chosen vessel of mine to bear My name before Gentiles, Kings, and the children of Israel, For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name's sake. In (Acts 9:17-19) the text tells us that Ananias, laying hand’s on Saul, prayed, and immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he received his sight and was baptized. In (Acts 9:20) we see Saul walking away from his wicked past and the Christians he tried to kill he is now preaching Christ to them. No longer did they call Saul, Saul of Tarsus, but now he is known as the apostle Paul. True repentance is forsaking your past, “the wicked things we did,“ and walking in newness of life with Christ, “doing good works.”
