The pastors thoughts

Life is like a river it is constantly flowing,

moving, and changing. Sometimes the

changes are for the Good, and sometimes

they are not, but regardless if the changes

are good or bad Life continues to flow down

that busy highway called Life. Sometimes you

are ready to flow with life’s stream and sometimes

you are not, never the less, life continues to flow

right into eternity. Forest Gump would say life is like

a box of chocolate you never know what you will get,

but whatever life a Christian get’s God will help them

make the best of that life.

The shoe box program

Give from the herat

The shoebox program has begun at the

Voice Of The Gospel Mission Church.

The Church goal this year is to fill twenty shoeboxes

with goodies, that the church will
donate to Samaritan Purse, who will distribute

them to boys and girls around the world who otherwise

would not have anything for Christmas.

The shoebox program is about more than a gift, it is about sharing Jesus, and His love, mercy, and tender care for His Fathers children Regardless of where they may live in the world (Matt.19:13-14).
As Christians, God has made each of us stewards and overseers over His earthly children. James, the brother of Jesus said pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world
James 1:27).
Won’t you help God touch the hearts of His children by donating for a worthy cause? Jesus said since you provided a gift to one of the least of
These My children, you did it to Me (Matt.31-40).
If you would like to participate in the shoebox program you may do so by sending a donation in any amount to:
The Voice of the Gospel Mission Church

Please write “shoebox Donation” on your check,
And may God bless you for your generosity (Mal.3:10).

Is heaven a real place

Like most people, this little boy is
asking his dad if heaven exists. Stephen,
a man with a good reputation, and full
of the Holy Spirit and wisdom might have
asked God that same question while
being stoned to death by a crowd of
unbelievers (Acts.6:3). Stephen, full
of faith and power, did great wonders
and signs among the followers of Christ.
I believe God wanted to reassure Stephen
that his death nor his labor of love which
he had shown toward the gospel was not in vain.
God pulled back the curtains of heaven and
allowed Stephen to take a peek into the throne
room of heaven (1-Cor.15:51-58). Can you
imagine God Giving you the ability to take a
glance at paradise just before you die.
As Stephen gazed into heaven, he saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. Out of extreme excitement, Stephen shouted to the men who were stoning him to death and said: Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God (Acts 7:55-56). God wanted to reassure Stephen that heaven, is a real place Prepared for those who love the Lord. It’s important to note that before Stephen died he prayed to the Lord and asked Him not to charge his killers with this sin.
The apostle Paul knows first hand, that heaven is a real place. In Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, he writes telling them about a spiritual experience he had  fourteen years ago how he was caught up to the third heaven. Paul writes saying whether I was in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows how I was caught up into paradise and heard inexpressible words, which is not lawful for a man to utter. Note, The apostle Paul was caught up into the third heaven where the Lord   and His Son Jesus dwells (2-Cor.12:1-21).
In the book of Genesis, the author writes about a man named Enoch. The author writes in his scroll that Enoch walked with God three hundred years. The author goes on to write that one day Enoch walked with God and could not be found by his family or loved ones because God walked Enoch right into heaven so he would not taste death because of the flood waters which the Lord said was soon to cover the earth
(Gen.5:21-24). Enoch knows heaven is a real place prepared by God for those who obey the Lord.
It’s important to note that before the birth of Seth son Enoch, men were not calling on the name of the Lord or walking with Him (Gen.5:25-26). In
(Luke 23:43),Jesus describes heaven as a paradise.
Heaven is a real place it does exist. God pulled back the covers of heaven and had allowed a select few of our ancestors to see and experience heaven before they had died. The apostle Paul writes about his heavenly experience saying, whether I was in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows how I was caught up into paradise and heard inexpressible words, which is not lawful for a man to utter. Paul is saying that the things which he had heard while in heaven, was impossible for man to put into words.
John also wrote about his heavenly experience which God had shown him through a Revelation. John writes in a book saying, I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then John writes,
I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Paul continues writing saying, He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murders, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with Fire and brimstone, which is the second death (Rev.21:1-27), (Rev.22:1-20).
Heaven is a real place it does exist, even if you refuse
to believe in its existence.

Love one another

As Jesus sat at the table with His Disciples; He, knowing all things knew that it was the devil who put it in the heart of Judas to betray Him (Jn.13:2). Jesus also knew that Peter would deny Him. Jesus, knowing all these things, knew that Judas would betray Him, and Peter his right-hand man would deny Him three times before the rooster crowed (Jn.13:36-38). Said something to His followers that seemed out of place amongst the men in that generation and our generation as well. Jesus turned toward His Disciples and said to them, a new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another (Jn.13:34).

When Jesus speaks about love, he is not referring to the love that the world knows, for instance, loving those who love you (Matt.5:46). If you love only those who love you, how are you different from sinners who also love those who love them (Lk.6:32-34). The love Jesus is talking about is agape love in which He loved us. We do not deserve His love, but He loved us anyway. The Bible said the Lord commanded His Lord toward us, in other words, God ordered Himself to love us, even while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Rom.5:8).
Is God telling us to die for sinners? Of course not, “silly.” But what God is saying to Christians is to love those who are unthankful and ungodly also (Lk.6:35).
In the Book of John, the author wrote that those who love God must love His brothers and sisters also
(1-Jn.4:19-21). Loving one another is not an option, it is a commandment from the Lord (Jn.15:12). When a Christian loves their enemies, and bless those, who curse them and do good to those who hate them and pray for those who spitefully use them and persecute them It sends a message to the world that they are the children of God because our love is different than the way the world shows love (Matt.5:38-48).

Jesus said, love your enemy, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you (Matt.5:44-48). In the book of John, the author writes, If a christen fails to love his brothers and sisters, they are not taught by God neither do they know Him because God is love (1-Jn.4:8). Jesus said the more a christen gives there love away, the more they are loved by the Lord and His Son, Jesus Christ (Jn.14:21). God’s love is made perfect when a Christian  loves one another fervently with a pure heart (1-Jn.2:5) (1-Peter 2:22).
In Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, he writes about faith, hope, and love, telling the Corinthians that of these three love is the greatest (1-Cor.13:1-13). Paul writes in his letter if you do not love your brothers and sisters you are nothing (1-Cor.13:2). Jesus promised Christians that when they love one another with agape love, He will manifest,(make Himself know) clearly to those who love one another with a pure heart. Paul writes a letter to the saints in Rome reminding them that love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law (Rom.13:10).
Paul writes to the Romans telling them to love one another with a sincere heart (2-Cor.8:8), not hiding or disguising your true feelings or thoughts, or intentions (Rom.12:9). The apostle Paul said exam yourself whether you are in the faith or not (2-Cor.13:5). Confirm your love toward the Lord by loving one another, love as brothers and sisters (1-Peter 3:8).
The apostle Paul writes telling the Philippians to be like minded, having the same love, being of one accord. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interest, but also for the interest of others (Phil.2:4).
Can you imagine if everyone lived according to God’s word? Instead of living in a world full of hearted, greed,
And self-serving we could be living in paradise right here on earth. All it takes is love your neighbor as yourself.
