February Newsletter 2019

A prayer for you

Our Father who art in heaven.
Father, We seek your presence that we may be made aware of power beyond ourselves. Forgive us when we forget that your ability is always available to us as we struggle in our daily walk with thee. We seek your presence, Father, because we need a strong shield against temptation, we are tempted daily by the devices of the world. Keep us we pray from compromising your truths or engaging in activity’s that are displeasing to you. We need your presence that we may find the ability and desire to be taught what is Godlike and right. We need your presence so that we might understand what is holy and sacred and eternal.
Father, we need your presence so that we might have a love for your word with all its power and insight and guidance. We need your presence so that we may be examples of Godlikeness as we walk in the community, and as we show loyalty to your kingdom, and serve you in all humility among our fellow human beings, and as we show care for your creation. We pray this prayer in the name of Jesus, Amen.

May the Lord bless you with many more Birthdays.

A few months ago I ran a survey, and in the poll I asked this question, Why is it Christians no longer attend Church. The number one answer given for not coming out to Church was the T.V Ministries. The second answer to the question why attend Church was the internet.
Most Christians do not realize the big part they play in God’s Churches.
1) Christians are a part of the body of Christ
2) Believers are filled with the Holy Spirit
3) Christians are anointed by God (1-Jn.2:20).
4) God has given Christians different types of gifts (Rom.12:6).
The Lord has give every believer different kinds of gifts so they can edify the Church, and be a part and a blessing in the house of God. God needs you in Church.

Bible Study, Lesson 0003.

If you participated in the Bible Study which appeared in the January 2018, Newsletter, then I have great News for you,  this is lesson three of that Bible study you might enjoy doing. Of course, you will need your Bible, silly, how can you answer Biblical questions without your Bible.  If I were to give this story a name, I would call it “Joseph’s Story.”
1) Read Gen.37:12-18. In the book of mark, the text tells us that at the feast of unleavened bread there were a group of people who sought how they might take Jesus by trickery and put Him to death.
(Q-18) Who was the group of people who attempted to arrest Jesus by trickery?
Reference Scripture Mark 14:1.
2) Jesus often talked to His Disciples about being betrayed to the chief priest and scribes; and they will condemn Him to death. After the Gentiles crucify Jesus (Q-19) What did Jesus say He will do on the third day? Reference Scripture Matt.20:19. Also read Matt.20:17,18.
3) The apostle Paul tells us in the book of Romans that Christ died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord. (Q-20) Who did Paul say Christ was Lord over? Reference Scripture Rom.14:9.
Read.Gen. 37:19-20. Joseph’s brothers conspired against him to kill him. Joseph’s brothers never realized to kill Joseph is to destroy God’s dream. The Lord did not give Joseph a dream because He had nothing better to do, no’ God gave Joseph a vision for a specific reason (Gen.45:1-6). The Lord sent Joseph to Egypt ahead of his brothers. (Q-21) Why did the Lord send Joseph to Egypt before his brothers
Reference Scripture Gen.45:7.

Egbert Church professor

Spiritual Blindness<<<<<<
As a Christian, did you know that you have spiritual eyes and can see glimpses of the Kingdom of God? No! Well, that’s why I’m here professor Egbert,
have you ever heard a pastor tell his congregation they have spiritual eyes and can glance into the heavens, well, visit me at www.thegospelmission.net
And I’ll let you know everything because not only am I smart but I also have a big mouth (Num.22:31).
Just don’t tell the pastor you are meeting me because he has connections, he can make me disappear, Ha, ha, ha, "funny." come, take a walk with me, a step back in time, a time when in the book of Kings, the author writes about a time when the King of Israel sent horses and chariots and a great army, and they came by night and surrounded the city where Elisha was staying
(2-kings 6:1-14).
Now early in the morning when Elisha’s servant awoke looked out the window and saw the Kings army surrounding Elisha and himself with a vast army cried out in fear saying: what shall we do
(2-King 6:15). Now Elisha believing what God had said in (1-Peter 3:14), turned his head toward his servant and said to him, do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them (2-King 6:16). Then Elisha glanced into heaven and did what (Psalm 50:15) tells every Christian to do in times of trouble, and Elisha prayed to the Lord saying, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw.
And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire of the heavenly hoist surrounding Elisha, his servant, and the army that had surrounded them (2-Kings 6:17). Elisha had a servant who was spiritually blinded like us and could not see heavenly things even though angelic beings surrounded him (Col.3:1,2).
God wants to open your spiritual eyes as well, and especially when He intervenes in your life.
How do I know this? For one, why did God take the time to inspire the prophet Jeremiah to write the two books of Kings, and in one of these books tell us a true story about Elisha’s servant whom God had supernaturally opened his eyes so he could see God’s heavenly hoist which was protecting Elisha and himself. God does not want Christians to have any doubts about His existence or the existence of His kingdom. Therefore, here is four steps that Christians can do to open their eyes to the truth.
1) Read your Bible, and not just any scripture or chapters that may pop-up by filliping the pages,
Be specific, for example, if you have doubts, then read scriptures that address that subject.
 2) Pray, ask the Lord to give you a perfect understanding of the scriptures (2-Tim.2:7).
3) Meditate, think about the scriptures you’ve just read. Ask yourself questions, how can this text help, bless or change my life
(Psalm 119:148).
4) Believe the Bible, believe the Gospel, pray and ask the Lord to bless you with a believing spirit (Mark 1:15).
5) Repeat the first four steps.
Jesus said everyone who asks receives (Matt.7:8).
Like Elisha, we too have to pray and ask the Lord to open our spiritual eyes.

Nope…never! I’ll never forgive uncle Ralph>>>>>>>>>>

When God hears His followers talk like Bob, it
cuts Him to the heart because most Christians do not realize when they refuse to forgive someone for their evil deeds, they the unforgiving Christian is the one that is affected the most, such as, it will   change your relationship with the Lord. Jesus said, for if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father Forgive your trespasses (Matthew 6:14,15). Secondly, Jesus said if we do not forgive men their evil deeds, our heavenly Father will not restrain the torturers on our behalf, Now that’s scary.
In the book of Matthew, Jesus called the unforgiving servant wicked, is this how you want to be known by God, as an evil person because you refuse to forgive someone who offended you
(Matt.18:32). The apostle Paul said if we call ourselves  Christians we are no longer to walk like our offenders who not knowing God or been taught by Him, walks in darkens and lacks spiritual understanding (Eph.4:17-32). Jesus did not command us to love one another by the way we are loved or treated by others (Luke 6:32,36), but, love one another fervently with a pure heart
(1-Peter 1:22). In (Jn.13:34,35) Jesus said, A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. For additional information on forgiveness E-Mail pastor Dennis at:

 What is love?
The Bible describes love like this: Love suffers long and is kind; does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things
Love is a big part of the Christen walk.
1) Faith works through love (Gal.5:6).
2) Love is the fruit of the spirit, Joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control (Gal.5:22).
3) it is love that grounds us (Eph.3:17).
4) Imitate God and walk in love, be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ for gave you (Eph.5:1,2).
5) This is love, that we walk according to Jesus’ commandment, and love one another (2-Jn.6).
