Do you suffer from Road Rage?

Road Rage

Get out of my way...

What is road rage anyway?

The Dictionary describes Road rage as such: uncontrollable anger experienced by a driver in difficult road conditions, often leading to violent behavior. Did you know when you succumb to road rage you are giving Satan control over your emotions, and also your body parts, to use to inflict bodily harm on an another human being? Sometimes road rage results in someone getting hurt, or even worse; someone dies in the conflict (Jn.8:44).

Control your temper

Can you imagine spending the rest of your life in prison because you could not control your anger? Question, are you willing to ruin your life over road rage, because you feel someone disrespected you when they cut you off in traffic? Before you beat someone half to death remember your family, what will happen to them if you're sitting behind bars because you are not mature enough to control your temper?

Is there help for road rage?

Yes, if you suffer from any uncontrolled anger you can receive help from any available anger management program. If you are a Christian, the Bible tells us we can be angry, just don’t sin, in other words, don’t attack the other driver because you are angry with them.

Learn to turn your anger into fun

Do what I do, when someone cuts you off in traffic or Beeps their horn at you like a made man, wave at them profusely as though you know them. The fun part is when their face turns red because they are not sure if they know you. You can see the blank expression on their face as they ask themselves saying, who was that person, do I know them?

Represent Christ

As Christians, we are taught to represent Christ in this world. In the book of Romans, we are told to bless those who persecute us, so, in the heat of the moment if you must shout at a rude driver, shout out loudly, bless you brother, or sister. Learn how to use God’s word as a weapon, Paul calls the word the sword of the Spirit. Read (Ephesians 6:13-17) and see what you can do with God’s word. As Christians we are not to be quick-tempered, nor are we to be violent (Titus 1:7). As a Christian, we are to put off all theses thing: Anger, wrath, malice, and filthy language out of your mouth, so don’t let some angry driver pull you into a Confrontation over useless words That do not profit anyone (1-Tim 6:4).

Words Seasoned with salt

In the book of Colossians we are taught to let our speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one (Col.4:6). By your speech let the irate driver hear and see Jesus in you. Remember, God said be Holy, because He is Holy. (Read 1-Peter 3:10).

Do not imitate evil

In the book of John, Christians are taught not to imitate what is evil, but rather what is good, and God like (3-John:11). We are also taught to repay evil with good, so, be kind and courteous to an unruly driver, remember, It takes two to start a confrontation.

The Lord will repay

Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, Do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord (Rom.12:14-21).

Overcome evil

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Let the world see Christ in everything you do and say. Be an example to the ungodly.
