Has completed Chapters 1-15
In the book of Genesis

Dear Michael, Robert, & Roger,
You are receiving this letter to congratulate you on completing Chapters 1-15 in the book of Genesis.

We, the pastors, and the congregation are proud of what you have accomplished through your Bible Study Lessons.

In (2-Peter 3:18), Peter said but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Our hearts rejoice to learn that our Christian brothers walk in obedience by willfully participating in the Bible Study Lessons that they may grow in the knowledge of God. May God bless whatever you strive to do in His name.

I'm a Christian know what?

Most Christians have asked themselves this same question I’m a Christian now what at one time or another. Paul, the apostle, answers this question, I’m a Christian Now what, for us in his letter to the saints in Ephesus (Eph.1:1).

Paul writes now that the Holy Spirit lives within the believer, let us cleanse our minds and hearts of evil desires such as fornication, uncleanness, ungodly passions, and covetousness, (which is Idolatry).

Paul, also writes, saying, because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience in which you yourselves once walked when you practiced such things (Eph.3:5,6).

However, since we are now a new creation, created in Christ Jesus, for good works, let us as Christians and followers of Christ put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. And do not lie to one another, since you have put off your former conduct with its bad habits

The Christian walk is not an easy task; therefore, God has given us His Spirit, the Holy Spirit, as a helper and a guide (1-Jn.4:13). We then, as workers together with God, has been given the ministry of reconciliation, now then, we are ambassadors for Christ.

As an ambassador for Christ. I implore you,
to read the Bible, meditate on the word, and pray God will grant you a perfect understanding of the scriptures: so you will be fully equipped to win souls for Christ.

The Shoe Box Program

The shoebox program for 2020 has begun at the Voice of the Gospel Mission Church. The Church goal this year is to fill twenty shoeboxes with goodies that the church will donate to Samaritan Purse, who will distribute them to boys and girls around the world, (Read Mark 16:15).

The shoebox program is about more than a gift- it is about sharing the love of Christ, His compassion, His mercy, and tender care for all His children regardless of their nationality, please read (Malachi 2:10).

As a Christian, we are stewards and overseers
Over God’s earthly children. Jesus’ brother James, writes, pure and undefiled religion before God, and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble (James 1:27). For a child, there is no worse trouble than waking-up on Christmas day with no gifts under the tree.

Won’t you help God touch the hearts and souls of His children by donating to a worthy cause? Jesus said, since you provided a gift for one of the least of these my children, then you gave it in My name (Matt.25:40).

If you would like to participate in the shoebox program this year and need an empty shoebox to fill with goodies
Phone (845) 344-1982, and the pastor will drop one off at your home for free.

This year have fun, make your gift-giving a family affair, request two free shoebox’s and let each family member provide gifts for the Samaritan Purse Christmas around the world program. Once your shoeboxes are full, phone (845) 344-1982) And the pastor will pick them up from your home. It’s that easy to give a gift to a child in need.

However, If you are like so many other Americans
Who have very little time to shop and still would like to take part in the Shoebox program you can do so by sending a donation in any amount to:

The Voice of the Gospel Mission Church
27 Fairfax Ave
Middletown NY 10940

Please write “shoebox” on your check,
may God bless you for your generosity.

Sunday School News

Due to the coronavirus, Sunday School has not yet reopened. Our children of all ages have been on a roller coaster Because of all the uncertainties and havoc this pandemic Is causing in their everyday life. Most children are worried and afraid, not sure if they are safe from the deadly grip of this virus.

The one thing I admire most about Jesus is His ability
To seize every opportunity, to reassure us of His Fathers
Love. Parents Like Jesus, this is your opportunity to reassure your children of God's love for them.

Open your Bible to (Matt.18:10) and read the verse to your children.

(V-10) Take heed that you do not despise one of these little children, for I say to you, that in heaven, their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven. Reread verse ten, and make it clear to your child, that God has assigned His angel to watch over them night and day.

Pray this prayer with your child.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for your word, we give you thanks that you have assigned your angels to watch over my children wherever they may venture, we pray this in Jesus name, Amen.
To share additional scriptures with your children visit

It's time

I promise I wont feel a thing

Hey, it’s time again, don’t forget to get your flu shot, I promise you, I wont feel a thing.

Wash your hands often

Wash your hands often

Parents, did you know by washing your hands often, you can keep your home safe from germs that lurk about in the darkness.

Why we wear a mask

Wear your mask out of love for others

We don’t wear a mask because told to do so by our government. We wear our mask out of love for the elderly members of our family as well as our children.

God never slumbers

(Psalm 121:4)

The Lord was not caught off guard, or asleep when the virus reared its ugly head on the earth. God warned His Disciples that there would be days approaching when pestilence would threaten the world (Matt.24:7).

Jesus also knew the anxiety levels would rise in His people because of the uncertainties caused by the virus, spoke to you in (Matt.6:19-34). No' the pastor is not going to read the scripture. You have to read it for yourself.

King David knew that God’s people would need protection wrote a prayer, and God placed it in (Psalm 18:1-3), and also in (Psalm 34:7) Please read them.

Can God heal me?

The Lord sent His word and healed our illness

There was a man named Naaman who lived during the time of Elisha’s ministry. However, before I share his story and how God healed him, please note, I am not telling you to cancel your doctor appointments, nor am I telling you to stop seeking the advice of a Physicians. I am not telling you to throw away your wheelchairs, walkers, canes, or berthing devices prescribed by a licensed Physician. I'm not going to tell you God will heal you after reading this article.

However, I will tell you that God heals those who have faith and those who have no faith. I will tell you that God heals the believers and the unbelievers. I will tell you that God heals those who obey His voice. I will tell you that God heals not because we earned it or deserve His healing, but rather, God heals because He is a merciful, loving, and compassionate God. I pray that after reading this article, you will have a new outlook about the way God heals. Now, back to the story, “can God heal me?.”

Can God heal me?
(2-Kings 5:1-27)

(V-1) There was a man named Naaman, he was the commander of the king of Syria. Now Naaman was a great and honorable man in the eyes of his master, because by him the Lord had given victory to Syria. Naaman, was also a mighty man of valor, but a leper (2-Kings.5:1).

(Note) Although Leprosy can be cured today, however, during the time that Naaman existed on the earth, such a cure was not possible. For more information, on leprosy read (Lev.13:1-59).

(V-2) Now the army of the Syrians had captured a young girl from the land of Israel. She waited on Naaman’s Wife.
(V-3) Than the young captive girl said to her mistress, if only my master were with the prophets who is in Samaria! For he would heal Naaman of his leprosy.

(Note) The young captive girl knew something that Naaman did not, that in Israel, there is a prophet
anointed with the power to heal. God wants you to share what you know about Him with others because you might say something they need to hear.

(V-4-7) Now Naaman sought permission from the king to stand before the man of God that he might heal him of his plague.
(V-8-10) Therefore Naaman went and stood at Elisha’s door, but rather, go out to him, Elisha sent messengers to Naaman saying, go, wash in the Jordan, seven times, and you will
be healed.

(V-11-12) But Naaman became furious, and went away said to himself, Elisha will surely come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, and wave his hand over the place and heal the leprosy.

(Note) God is not a traditional God, nor does he heal the way someone expects Him to, nor does God heal because someone gets emotional, or angry, or raises their voice, and jumps up and down the way Naaman expected Elisha to do, to heal his leprosy.

(V-13) Naaman’s servants said to him if the prophet had told you to do something great, would you have not done it? How much more than when he says to you, wash and be clean?
(V-14) Naaman went down and dipped seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of
God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and Naaman was clean.

(Note) God chose to heal Naaman after he obeyed Elisha. However, being obedient is only one of many ways God chooses to heal.

Go, wash seven times in the Jordan, Elisha said to Naaman And God will heal you. Pastor Dennis is saying to you, pray once a day, for seven days, for someone suffering from an illness like yours, and see what God will do for you.

In the October Newsletter, the Pastor will discuss the four ways in which God heals. You will not want to miss this discussion.
