A prayer for protection

Heavenly Father,

As I venture out into the world today, I pray, put your hedge of protection around me, around my children, their friends, and Loved ones. I also pray Lord, asking, that you put your shield of protection around my home, my assets, and everything that belongs to me. I pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.

The Christian walk

The apostle Paul writes a letter, and he addresses’ it to all the saints, who are in Philippi, With the bishops and deacons. Paul writes saying, Let each believer look out not only for his interests but also for the interest of others (Phill.2:3-4). As Christians, one way in which we can look out for our brothers and sisters in Christ is by wearing our face mask in public.

Mothers Day Dinner

Breaking Bread

The twelve apostles continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness of heart (Acts 2:46).

However, it is with a sad heart that I announce The Mothers Day Dinner Scheduled For May 09, 2021, has been Cancelled, Due to the coronavirus. So Sorry, moms.

God will supply all your needs.

God might not have given us riches or gold, but He did supply us with plenty of water which when combined with soap has the power to kill the germs sneaking around your household. Wash your hands often.

May 09, is Mother’s Day, a holiday celebrated by giving flowers, cards, presents, given to mothers on their special day.

God’s gift to mother’s
God blessed them, and God said to them, be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth with offspring and subdue the earth (Gen.1:28). Through God’s blessings upon women, He has empowered mothers to reproduce life on the planet, Read (Gen.1:28).

A mothers gift to the world
Through a mother's birth cannel, God ushers Lawyers, Doctors, Scientists, Pastors, Teachers, Firemen, police officers, Military personal, truck drivers, factory workers, construction workers, husbands, and wives into the world.

What a mother gives to her children
Although receiving flowers, cards, presents, and dinners from a loved one are fantastic; however, God knows no amount of money or gifts can compensate for the love, care, devotion, compassion, and encouragement In which a mother showers on her family daily.

What a mother teaches her children
A mother teaches her children not only to respect themselves but others as well. A mom also teaches her boys and girls to have compassion for others. She also teaches them not to be bullies or possessive. What a mom teaches her children most is, to be honest, generous, and basic hygiene. When a mother teaches her children how to love God themselves and others, this is pleasing to the Lord, this is a mom, whose children will walk according to Jesus’ commandments for this is

The first and great commandment. The second commandment is like the first you shall love your neighbor as yourself (Matt 22:36-40). Genuine love is the fulfillment of the Law as told in (Rom.13:10).

A mothers character
Mothers suffer long and are kind; mothers do not envy does not parade themselves; is not puffed up. Mothers do not behave rudely does not seek their own, nor provoked; moms think no evil. Mothers bear all things, believe all things, hopes all things, endures all things. A mother's love never fails.

What the Lord says about Mothers
The Lord knows it is the mothers that are the glue that holds families together. Therefore God, instructs each family member on how to treat the mom in their household.

Husbands love your wives
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved us.
He who loves his wife loves himself.
Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them, as told in (Col.3:19). Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life
(1-Peter 3:7). Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband (1-Cor.7:3-4).

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and your mother, which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth, (Eph.6:1-3).

A Mothers heart

Moms have hearts like God; they are kind, they are gracious, and most of all, they are compassionate. Moms love their children with agape love. Most of the time, we do not deserve their love, but like God, mothers love us anyway

When I think of the prodigal father, whose son took half of his father's livelihood, went to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with extravagantly spending. Moms are like the prodigal father who never stopped praying, never stopped hoping, and never stopped looking for their lost child to come to their senses and return home (Lk.15:11-32).

Moms are like the angels in heaven. There is great joy in the hearts of a mom when a son or daughter has repented and confesses Christ as their Lord and Savior (Lk.15:7,10). Moms are loving, teaching their children right from wrong. Like God, moms what their children to live happy lives and prosper in all things (3-Jn.1).
Like God, moms want their kids to honor their father and their mother, which is the first commandment, with a promise that they may live long on the earth (Eph.6:2).

Moms are like God who wants their children to raise godly children, and They live soberly, righteous, and Godly lives; such is the heart of mothers.

A mothers cry

Hannah wanted to experience the joy of motherhood like the other mothers in her neighborhood. But, no matter how hard Hannah tried, she could not get pregnant because the Lord had closed up her womb, (1-Sam.1:5).

In Hannah’s day, it was customary for a married woman to bear children. But, because Hannah could not have a baby the other woman provoked Hannah and stirred up her emotions until she would cry out to the Lord (1-Sam.1:6-8).

But one day, Hannah cried out to the Lord in bitterness of soul, Hannah prayed, and God heard Hannah. And Hannah prayed again and made a promise to the Lord saying, Lord, if you will look on my affliction and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life (1-Sam.1:9-11).

And the Lord answered Hannah’s prayer, and she conceived and gave birth to a healthy baby boy, whom she named Samuel (1-Sam.1:17-20).
The story of Hannah’s struggles to conceive and
Give birth to a child could be any woman’s story who, like Hannah, could not get pregnant no matter how hard she tried, please no this, we serve a God who has the power to change a woman’s situation no matter how bad it might seem. Sarah was barren and could not birth a child, but the Bible says when Abraham prayed for his wife, God responded, and Sarah gave birth to a son and named him Issac. Please read (Gen.20:17)

Victory over Trials

In the March Newsletter, we left off with James telling Christians to count It all joy when they fall into various trials (James 1:2-4). Why did James tell Christians to be joyful when facing trials?

In the book of Matthew Jesus reminds believers that only those who endure to the end will be saved (Mat.10:22). So, we are to bear hardship, pain, and difficulties without losing heart or abandoning our faith in God. Jesus also said men ought to always pray and not lose heart (Lk.18:1).

In the book of Romans, the apostle Paul said, we also glory in tribulations, and then Paul tells us why he is joyful in afflictions. The apostle Paul says tribulations produces perseverance; and perseverance, character, and character hope (Rom.5:3-4). The more we suffer, the more we should pray, and the more we pray, the more we should trust in God. Peter said to rejoice when grieved by various trials that the genuineness of your faith, being more precious than gold that perishes, though fire tests it, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ (1-Pet.1:6-7).
In the book of Acts, Paul and Silas gives us
An excellent example of having joy in the midst of trials, While Silas and Paul were preaching the Gospel of Christ, the authorities’ had them beaten with a rod, and then they were thrown into the common prison. Now listen, if anyone had a reason to blame God for their misfortune, it was Paul and Silas, why could these two men accuse God of wrongdoing? They could blame God because they were preaching God’s word to His followers, and because of the Gospel, the authorities treated them unfairly (Acts 16:9-24).

But, rather than blame God for their trouble,While still in prison, at midnight, they were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listing to them, while they praised God in the midst of adversity. Who does that, who honors the Lord in the midst of pain and suffering that may have been caused by God?

The jailer could not understand the behavior of these two Godly men. He was totally perplexed, and especially when the Lord had shaken the prison with a powerful earthquake thus, opening all the prison doors and every prisoner's chains loosed, yet every man remained in prison even though they had an opportunity to escape (Acts 16:25-28).

The prison administrator was so impressed with the actions of Paul and Silas that he asked them a question saying, “what must I do to be saved?”
And that very hour the prison-guard with all his household was baptized, and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household. And when it was day, the magistrate sent the officers, saying let Paul and Silos go free (Acts 16:29-35).
Now the authorities had thrown Paul and Silos in prison for harm, but God sent them there for good (Gen.45:4-8). What was the good, a man and his whole household had been saved from death to eternal live (1-Jn.3:14).
The message:
Instead of blaming God every time we face adversity, misfortune, hardship, and suffering, Let us learn to pray to the Lord, and ask Him, to reveal the good that will come from our misfortune. After all, is it not part of the Christian walk to save soul’s, no matter the cost.

Mom’s are special…

Did you know without a mom, Jesus would not have been able to enter our world as a baby, wrapped in human flesh (1-Timothy 3:16). Can you imagine the creator of the universe, “God,” coming into the world as a newborn baby, born of a woman, and making Himself subject to a human mom? (Read Luke 2:16). God said, Mom’s are blessed and highly favored by the Lord (Luke 1:26-38). Not only are women blessed, but it was God who put a burning desire deep within their heart of woman to one day become a mom like their mother (Genesis 1:28).

Hannah had such a desire to become a mom she would cry out to the Lord, saying, Oh Lord, please open my womb that I may bear a son. And God heard her and granted her prayer request, and Hannah had a son, whom she named Samuel (1-Samuel 1:5-20).

Do you know what Hannah did with her son Samuel, she dedicated him to the Lord, as she promised? Hannah’s dedication was not like the dedication churches perform today, Where, after the ceremony, the child goes home with the parents. But Hannah left her son Samuel with Eli, the priest, to be raised as a godly child. She did this because she was so grateful. After all, the Lord answered her prayer and granted her a son.

Another Mom worth mentioning is Eunice, and her mom, Lois. The Apostle Paul spoke of them in His letter to Timothy. Paul said he is sure that the faith he found in Timothy's mother and grandmother he believes the same faith is also in Timothy For his mom and grand-mom taught him how to live a faithful life before the Lord (2-Timothy 1-18). Eunice and Louis did not preach faith to Timothy; they lived faith by being an example showing Timothy how genuine faith should look.

These moms lived a daily life being an example of true faith, in sincere prayer, in trusting God, and patiently waiting on the Lord. Timothy learned about the Lord by example, the examples, his mom and his grandma had demonstrated before him.

So, Moms since it is Mothers Day, remember to be an example to your children. An example in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity
