Make yourself happy.
Most people confuse happiness with material things such as wealth, or fame, or even possessions. You often hear people say if only I were rich, then I will be happy. But happiness does not depend on someone’s wealth;
if it did, there would not be any unhappy wealthy people in the world. But reality says no, wealth will not make someone happy because happiness that comes from wealth is temporary, it only lasts for a short time, and then you are unhappy again.
Happiness does not depend on fame.
Furthermore, nor does happiness depend on someone’s fame. If it did, there would not be any famous people who are unhappy in the world,
but again, reality says no, Someone’s popularity does not make them happy, like the wealthy, happiness that comes from fame is also temporary. Marriage can not make someone happy if it did: there would not be so many married couples seeking a divorce.
Like someone’s wealth, fame, or possessions, happiness that comes from marriage is also temporary.
Families cannot make someone happy.
Even families
cannot make someone happy, so, what makes me happy? My happiness comes from within, from the heart. Do I like everything I encounter in life” of course not! “But,” I would rather face the things I do not like being happy, rather than being
unhappy.
Real happiness is a choice.
Happiness is a choice, Regardless if you are rich or poor, “You,” can choose to be happy, or, “you,”
can choose to be unhappy. The Bible says as a man thinks in his heart, so is he (Pro.23:7). The Bible also says we are to make melody in our hearts always (Eph.5:19).
Capture your thoughts.
So, every morning when I wake up, I have to make a decision, a decision to be happy, or a decision to be unhappy. The Bible says to take every thought into captivity (2-Cor.10:5). Therefore, everyone has the option of capturing their
thoughts and if they are unhappy ones, then do what I do every day, I decide to be happy. Therefore, I think happy things no matter what my day may bring.
