November Wedding Anniversaries

Happy Anniversary

Eddie and Pastor Ranaye Corley

The Lord was the first father to perform a wedding ceremony when He walked Eve, His daughter, down the aisle and gave her to Adam, In Holy matrimony;

He blessed them and said to them, be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it.

The Lord started a tradition two thousand years ago, and it is called Marriage, and man continues to keep that tradition alive today. (Read Gen.1:27-28).

Come, hear what the Lord said.

To answer this question, one has to look at the life of Saul before his conversion. And before the Lord changed his name from Saul to Paul, Who was Saul anyway? He persecuted the Christians who believed in Christ.

Some he killed, some he bound, and some he put into prison, both men and women. Saul was not praying for his salvation, nor was he attending church none of his deeds were good, but his only intent was to persecute the church of God and destroy it.

So! How did Saul receive salvation, a new name, and become a minister of the Gospel of Christ? It was by God’s Grace. Saul said it like this,
Although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor,
And an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief; Also, in addition, the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant with faith and love
Which are in Christ Jesus; this is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptances that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. Our hope for salvation is in Jesus,

Hey! have you ever had a Kodak moment, “you know,” when it seemed like you stuck your foot in your mouth; once again? The psalmist says every time a Christian fails to restrain the tongue: this is what they are doing; they are sticking their foot in their mouth yet again (Psalm 39:1).

The tongue is such a little member, yet, “if not bridled,” it can defile the whole body: read (James 3:5-12). With the tongue, “if not bridled,” we can spew out of our mouths deadly poisons that kill the spirit of the hearers, as told in (Rom.3:10-18).

Four things a Christian should remember:

(1) Never speak when angry. The Bible says, out of the heart, the mouth speaks. Whatever is said; in anger comes from the heart; calm down, then give your opinion.

(2) God takes every word that proceeds; out of the mouth very seriously (Matt.12:36-37). Think before you speak. Never belittle or hurt anyone with words that slip out from the lips.

(3) Speak words of encouragement to others. Remember, whatever you say, “Good or bad,” God is listing, and remember you will give an account to God for every spoken word.

(4) Let your speech always be with grace and your words seasoned with salt. (Col.4:6).

The shoebox program has begun at the Voice Of The Gospel Mission Church. Our goal this year is to fill twenty shoeboxes with Gifts that the church will donate to Samaritan Purse, who will distribute the shoeboxes to boys and girls all around the world who otherwise would not have anything for Christmas.

The shoebox program is about more than just giving someone a gift. It's about sharing the love of Christ with a child. As well as bringing hope to a family where hope may no longer exist. Christmas is a time when we tell others about Jesus, His love, His mercy, and His compassion for which He loved us.

As Christians, we are stewards and overseers over the children of God. James confirms such when he writes saying, pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble and to keep oneself unspotted from the world as told in (James 1, verse 27).

This Christmas, we pray you will find it in your heart to help our Sunday School children surpass their shoebox goal by donating to a worthy cause, such as Samaritan Purse. If you would like to participate in the shoebox program, you may do so in one of two ways:

1) phone (845) 344-1982, request a Free shoeboxes. Fill the box with Christmas goodies
that are suitable for a boy or girl. When your box is full, phone the above phone number
and a pastor will pick up your box from your home.

Or, 2) you may donate any amount of money, and the Church will fill the shoebox with gifts in your name for you. Please make the check payable, To: The Voice of the Gospel Mission Church, 27 Fairfax Ave, Middletown NY 10940.

Please write shoebox Donation on your check. Thank you, and may God bless you for your generosity. Please read (Malachi, Chapter 3, verse 10).

Now you did it.

Loving someone’s enemy was unheard

of when Jesus walked the earth. So how
does Jesus tell His followers to love their

Yet, when Jesus began His earthly ministry He
Commanded those who believe in Him to not
only love one another, but our enemies as well.

Please open your
Bible and read
(Matthew 5:44-47),
as well as
(Luke 6:35-38).

Love does no harm:
Please read (Rom.13:8-14),
As well as (Matt.7:12), and
also (Matt.22:36-40)

God’s promise to Christians
who obey Him.

1) They will be called the Sons of God.
2) They will receive great rewards in heaven.
3) They will fulfill the law of God.

Wait for the promise (Acts 1:4)

The first time my older brother Robert,

took me duck hunting, his instructions to me were
To wait for the ducks to land, otherwise
You will only chase the ducks away and
We will go home empty-handed.

Likewise, Jesus did not want His Disciples to return
home beaten and defeated by Satan, so He instructed
them to wait in Jerusalem for the promise of the Holy Spirit.

God’s promise to believers who patiently wait for the
Holy Spirit.

1) They will be empowered by God.
2) The Holy Spirit will be their helper.
3) God’s Spirit will dwell within them.
4) The Holy Spirit will teach them all things.

Please read (Jn.14:16,17,26)

It was early Friday morning and raining. The darkness of the night was slowly giving way

to the morning light as the sunlight rays began peeking into John's bedroom window. John, still lying in bed, was sound asleep when suddenly, the alarm clock began to sound. The music blaring out of the speakers was so loud that it woke John; from sleep, and he sat up in his bed! John sat there, dazed. From lack of sleep could hear the rain as it bounced off the windowsill. With one eye open, John reached over the glass of water, still sitting on the nightstand, and angrily hit the snooze button.

John rarely used the snooze button; however, this morning. John welcomed it because it would give him an extra fifteen minutes of sleep. Before, he must drag himself out of a warm bed. John, with his finger, pushed the snooze button on the alarm clock, and he fell face-first into the soft pillows lying beneath his head, and John fell back to sleep as the bedroom grew silent. Once again. Cathy awoke a little earlier; than usual: this rainy morning. So she showered, dressed, and walked downstairs. Cathy was sitting at the kitchen table, sipping on a cup of coffee, when she suddenly heard the alarm clock as it sounded. For the second time.

Cathy could hear John as he fumbled with the bedroom clock. In an attempt to shut off the alarm. Cathy tried her hardest not to laugh when she visualized John trying to shut the alarm clock off.

Cathy thought it was funny, thinking about John, trying to shut off the alarm because she is the one who usually turns the alarm clock off most mornings. Cathy retired two years ago from her manager's job at the local Quick Hops supermarket, making it her responsibility to shut the alarm off before it would wake John; from his sleep. Cathy would wake John up after she had finished preparing his breakfast. However, Cathy broke from her routine, and this morning she did not shut the alarm off, nor did she wake John from his sleep. John would have been showered, dressed, and sitting downstairs with Cathy, his wife. However, John and Cathy were up most of the night in a heated argument; with one another. So John was struggling to get out of bed this morning. Rev. Dennis L. Johnson, author.

Your church is the typical den of devils if you do not believe God hates all divorce from a covenant marriage and that only DEATH ends that bond.
